Starting a Podcast in 2022
Everyone wants a Podcast in 2022. How will YOU make yours different?
If you are toying around with the idea of creating a podcast, there are a few things you need to know:
Anyone can pick up a cheap microphone off Amazon and start podcasting for free. You are not special if you just have a podcast.
You can make your show for absolutely free if you want to. That’s why the market is so saturated. You can use a service like Anchor.fm and blast your show out for everyone to listen to - but, who’s actually listening?
Everyone thinks their show is special - so why is your’s different? Really think through the value that you will provide people and nail down specific reasons why you want to make your show before you make it.
There are also some questions you need to answer before you get started:
Where are you going to host your podcast?
Are you going to do audio only or will you have a video component?
What is the goal for your podcast? Money? Fame? Artistic expression?
What will the core of your show be about? Will you have segments?
If your show does well and brands reach out to promote products, are you ready for those conversations? Do YOU know how to not get jipped out of a great deal/do you know your worth?
All great questions and tough ones to answer.
