Deposit policy

Why do companies have nonrefundable deposits?

At Morrisette Media, we take our jobs very seriously. When we book an event or a shoot, we require a deposit to hold your date and require that your balance is paid in full by the day of your event/shoot. When clients cancel their events, that leaves us with open dates and no one to fill those dates, so to protect ourselves, we must charge a nonrefundable deposit and have a policy for this. This policy is as follows:

If you cancel your event/Shoot within 30 days of the shoot date - we will not refund any of your deposit.

If you cancel your event/shoot more than 30 days before the shoot date - we will refund up to 50% of your deposit (prorated)

Example 1: You and your partner are getting married a year from today’s date. You book Morrisette Media with 50% down. Two weeks later something happens and you have to call off the wedding. Reach out to us and we will give you the 50% of your deposit back as a refund. (ex. $3000 total project cost, $1500 deposit to hold the date, you would receive $750 back)

Example 2: You and your partner are getting married a year from today’s date. You book with 50% down. You go 11 months and realize he/she is not the one, and call off the wedding. You reach out to us for a refund, but unfortunately, we will not offer a refund in this case because the cancellation is within 30 days of the shoot and we had been holding that date for a long time, likely not being able to fill it back up.

Please reach out if you have any questions about our policies.
